Artwork caption fields
At minimum, use artist, title, year, medium and dimensions. For editions, include edition size and number where relevant. If the catalogue is also a sales document, decide whether prices appear beside each work or in a separate list.
Image preparation
- Use consistent crops and background treatment.
- Keep enough resolution for the intended print size.
- Avoid mixing heavily colour-corrected images with quick phone shots.
- Name files consistently so image 12 cannot be confused with artwork 21.
